Moving From Overwhelm to Clarity is the Key to Confidence in Everything You Do

More than anything, I want you to feel less overwhelmed. Be less busy, but more productive and have more control of your time. And then, because of all of that, and because of that work that you're going to do- to give you a tremendous amount of confidence in the decisions you're making and the actions you're taking.

To get you to a place where you're not just winging it- things are thought out, organized, and have a plan of action. And that's ultimately what I really love to do - that’s my sweet spot. I love helping people sort through all the goodness in their minds and get it all organized.

But getting your mind organized takes genuine work- and I had to do that work too.

Like I talked about in my last post, getting my own brain organized took some serious work and time. I had to lay the foundations to make any action happen. And there are so many ways you can move from clutter to clarity- but the biggest thing is finding what really works for you and sticking to it. 

In the next few weeks, I’m going to cover 7 (maybe more!)  tips, tools, and techniques that have worked for me and my clients - but let’s get some things clear before we dive in. You’ll definitely want your pen and paper handy as I go in-depth about each of them in my future posts!

Most of these ideas did not just come from me. They’re all from a combination of leading experts in time management, productivity, organization, and mindset. So, these core ways to overcome overwhelm are what I love to share with clients because they're simple but effective. They work and not just because I said so - but some amazing experts and minds in their fields say so too.

Moving past overwhelm requires gentle change. Don’t try to do every technique at once!

Don’t feel like you have to incorporate every practice for overcoming overwhelm I talk about. At least - not right away. As I share my favorite tips, just pick out two or three that really jump out at you, that really resonates with you, that feel like they would be interesting to try and focus on- and implement those. Don’t give your brain even more to be overwhelmed by - focus on what jumps out at you and start from there.

Now I love all of these principles I’ll be talking about and have used them all. I use most of them to this day and again, these are things I go over with my clients. If you don't want to focus on all of them, you don’t have to, or maybe you have some of these really down already - just make sure you pick a few that you can try to include in your life.

I would love for this series to be as interactive as you want it to be. As I go over each of these productivity tips- feel free to have an action item for yourself. You can choose to just open a new tab or flip a blank page open after you finish the article- and start implementing the practice right then and there. This might even be a series where you have dedicated time set aside after reading.

Try to give yourself some structure as you find the best path to clarity for you.

And if you don’t want to go right into action, you can just read as each comes out and take really good mental (pr physical) notes as we go. Then, come back and think about what you want to start trying in your life. 

A lot of these tips I’ve already talked about before - they won’t be completely new or unheard of - but I’ll be diving in a little deeper than I have before, giving you specific and action-packed ways to start getting shit done with them. 

And, as always, I want you to get less overwhelmed - not more. So, take your time, take simple actions, and pay attention as we get started into these tips that are genuinely going to take you from mental clutter to massive clarity.
